Itinerary:

Day 1: Chiclayo | Inc: - L

Arrival in Chiclayo and transfer to the hotel to leave luggage for safekeeping. The morning begins with a visit to Huaca Rajada, an archaeological site where the treasures of the Lord of Sipán were discovered. We will continue to the Valley of the Pyramids in Túcume, an impressive urban center - the most important of its time - located just 21 miles from Chiclayo; the legend of the Naylamp god and the Cetemi queen, who came from the sea, still inspires the inhabitants. We will have lunch in a local restaurant to taste the most wonderful and traditional local cuisine, a festival of flavors for our palates. We will bring our day to an end with a visit to the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum, also known as the Museum of the 21st Century. It was built simulating the original tomb and houses treasures of gold, silver and uniquely beautiful precious stones. An unforgettable visit. Accommodation in Chiclayo.

Day 2: Chiclayo / Trujillo | Inc: - B

In the morning, departure to the town of Pitipo to visit the Museum of the Lord of Sicán, a fabulous discovery found in the Huacas de Batan Grande in the forest of carob trees in the Sechura desert. This museum treasures a magnificent mortuary mask of feathers, gold and silver, as well as a sample of what life was like for the ancient inhabitants of this region. We will also see a representation of how this Lord was found in his tomb.

In the afternoon, we will depart by private transportation to Trujillo. The journey will last a couple of hours during which we can enjoy breathtaking valleys, until arriving at the top of the Casa Grande sugar plantation where we will take a detour to discover the Huaca de El Brujo - so-called for the polychrome friezes of its walls - where we will come across an enormous, yet to be discovered pre-Inca cemetery in the surrounding area. We will visit the Museum of the Señora de Cao where the mummy of the same name is the star attraction, a possible ruler of the Moche culture discovered a few years ago. Accommodation in Trujillo.

Day 3: Trujillo | Inc: B/L

In the morning, we will visit the impressive Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, the center of power in the Trujillo Valley during Moche times. We will observe the amazing group of adobe frescos in one of the walls of the Temple of the Moon, unearthed by archaeologists. Afterwards, a visit to a traditional Moche Valley family, descendants of the Mochica. We will then visit the Arco Iris (Dragon) temple, belonging to the Chimú culture, from where we will continue towards Huanchaco, an ancestral cove of fishermen where we will admire the ancient boats known as "Caballitos de Totora", with which the thousand-year-old fishing tradition is maintained. Lunch in Huanchaco, and in the afternoon we will visit the ancient citadel of Chan Chan. We will enter the Nik-An Palace, located in the south-western part of Chan Chan, visiting its ceremonial plazas, adoratories, reservoirs, granaries and cemeteries. Transfer to the airport.
