You will have breakfast at the hotel. You will visit Lima’s city center, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. You will start the day with a sightseeing tour of the historic center until you reach Plaza de Armas, where you will stop to enjoy its attractions. You will then walk to Lima Cathedral, located in Plaza Mayor, which is Peru's most significant church and was built in the 17th century. Then you will visit the Casa Aliaga, an old residence of the Viceroyalty given by Francisco Pizarro in 1535 to one of his captains, Jerónimo de Aliaga, after the foundation of the city. This house is the only one from that era that still belongs to the same family to this day. Afterwards you will visit the Larco Museum, located in the traditional district of Pueblo Libre. The museum was founded by Rafael Larco Hoyle and is located inside a viceregal mansion built on a pre-Columbian pyramid which dates back to the seventh century. The museum has the most complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver pieces, as well as erotic art. At the end of the tour, you will be taken to the Parque del Amor (Park of Love) in the Miraflores district, where you can admire the cliffs with a great view of the Pacific Ocean. The tour may end at the Larcomar Shopping Center or at the hotel.

As an important city during colonial times, Trujillo still has many beautiful buildings and mansions from the period. You will do a tour of the churches of Santa Clara and El Carmen and their Cloistered Convents, as well as to the Church of San Francisco. You will then visit the Church of La Merced and the Superior Court of Justice. Next, you will visit the Huaca of the Dragon or Rainbow, a pyramid presumed to have been for religious use and a ceremonial and administrative center, built with adobe and located near Chan Chan. Then you will have lunch in a local restaurant and be transferred to Chan Chan, the world's largest and most populated adobe city on the north coast between 600 and 700 AD. Day 5: Trujillo – Chiclayo / El Brujo Complex (Cao)

Breakfast at the hotel. You will depart for the Chicama Valley, located about 20 miles north of Trujillo, to visit the El Brujo Archaeological Complex, which belongs to the Mochica culture. In 1990 excavations began, leading to the discovery of the Huaca Cao Viejo, a pyramid that reaches 150 feet high, has walls decorated with friezes and colorful reliefs that portray complex scenes and geometric figures. Discover the mystery of the mummy unearthed in this archaeological complex, which is 1,600 years old and has been preserved virtually intact over time, due to an ancient ritual in which they applied a red mineral that inhibited the decomposition of their skin and tissues. After the visit, you will continue to the city of Chiclayo, where you will be transferred to a hotel.

Day 6: Chiclayo – Túcume – Royal Tombs (Lord of Sipán) – Huaca Rajada – Lima

Breakfast at the hotel. Your trip will begin on the way to the Túcume archaeological complex. Covering around 500 acres, the complex houses 26 monumental buildings associated with lower-level structures such as squares, walls, courtyards and canal systems, reflecting a system of planned growth and the unique social structure of Lambayeque. You will also visit the site museum to get a better idea of what life was like during that period. You will then be transferred to Lambayeque to visit the Royal Tombs Museum. Due to the discovery of the Lord of Sipán, whose importance was demonstrated in the complexity of his burial and his apparent semi-divine status, a new museum had to be created that would do the findings justice. Thus, after rescuing, investigating and restoring all the registered pieces, the Royal Tombs Museum was created, the only one of its kind in South America. After lunch in a traditional restaurant, you will go to the archaeological complex of Huaca Rajada. This is a set of huge adobe pyramids partially destroyed over the course of several centuries by the climate. The site gained special notoriety in 1987 when Dr. Walter Alva, then director of the Brünning Museum in Lambayeque, became aware that clandestine excavations were taking place. What then began as a plan of protection ended with the magnificent discovery of the tomb of the Lord of Sipán, one of Peru's most impressive pre-Columbian burials. Finally, a vehicle will take you from the selected hotel to Chiclayo's airport. A representative will assist you during the journey.
