The elegant crescentcrest is a small bird that lives in scrubland and forages among leafy shrubs. The species is characterized by a black crescent-shaped band on its breast and the unique black markings on its face, like a mask. Its rufous wings take flight in the Laquipampa Wildlife Reserve where you can see it in its natural habitat.
It can be spotted all year round in areas of shrub-like vegetation. You can see it in the Lajas sector, Negrahuasi ravine and Shambo ravine.
