What is it?
This figure is 525 feet long. Its unique feature is its head, which is made up of segments of circles with a radius of between 4 and 8 inches. From the side, two circles of equal size could represent its eyes.

History and discovery
According to María Reiche's description when she discovered this figure, it is so immense that you can stand on one wingtip and not be able to see the other side. It is approximately as large as 6 soccer fields.

Theories and mysteries
This geoglyph was created for astronomical purposes, since it is laid out to match a specific arrangement in the night sky. It is clear that it is not aligned with sunsets or the moon. However, it is aligned with Fomalhaut, an extremely bright star in the Pisces constellation.
