To avoid problems during your trip, bear the following general recommendations in mind:
Avoid hiring services from persons in airports or bus terminals or in the street. Carefully read contract conditions to understand the limitations and/or restrictions imposed by the company. Taxis in Peru do not use meters. Consult prices of reference with iPerú before negotiating with taxi drivers. Prices do not depend on the number of passengers. We recommend that you change your money in money exchanges or banks. Only accept bills in perfect condition.
Consult reference prices for products and services with your hotel or IPerú and request receipts for all purchases. Fines for traffic offences are paid at the Municipality or at the SAT offices (Servicio de Administración Tributaria), which can be found in the various districts of the city of Lima. Ask your hotel or iPerú about the security of the places you are to visit. If traveling by bus and taking items of value, carry them by hand.

If you cross borders, remember that leaving and entering Peru requires no payment. The procedure for obtaining the Tarjeta Andina is simple and does not require the help of third parties.
