At the foot of Mount Huascaran, in the Llanganuco gorge, nature has given us a wonderful spectacle. Mirroring the sky, the lakes known as Chinancocha and Orconcocha have created a new natural color: they are not blue, or green. Perhaps they might be described as turquoise. What is certain is that their beauty leaves visitors speechless.
This is an unmissable attraction within Huascaran National Park. The lakes of Llanganuco are more than a tourist attraction: they offer an almost mystical experience, where the connection with nature is absolute.

How to get to Lake Chinancocha?

You can hike and camp in the heart of the mountain range.

Explore the area on horseback.
