Peru, named World’s Leading Culinary Destination for the fourth straight year by the World Travel Awards, will again be present at Madrid Fusion on January 25-27.

The Peruvian delegation is led by Virgilio Martínez, chef and owner of the restaurant Central, in Lima, ranked as the fourth best restaurant in the world and the best restaurant in South America on the annual list of the “50 Best Restaurants,” published by the prestigious British magazine, Restaurant. He will be accompanied by chefs from three Peruvian restaurants in Spain, who will give diverse presentations.

Peru’s pavilion will offer the best of Peruvian food and its main export products with an original concept: The ‘picantería’ (traditional Peruvian restaurant). The star products of Madrid Fusion 2016 will be quinoa, blueberries and maca, foods produced in the fertile valleys of Peru.
