The Peruvian ship B.A.P. Unión embodies the perfect blend of tradition and modernity, sailing as it carries the Peruvian flag to every corner of the world.
Peru highlighted its cultural and tourist treasures in Germany and Denmark through the Peruvian ship B.A.P. Unión, a traveling ambassador of Peruvian culture, and Casa Perú. On board, visitors explored the decks, experienced the ship’s majesty up close, and enjoyed cultural exhibits that reflect the diversity of Peru.

After its stop in England, the B.A.P. Unión sailed into Esbjerg, Denmark’s main port, where from August 5 to 9 it hosted a series of activities led by PROMPERÚ.
With Casa Perú as the centerpiece, Danish citizens discovered the richness of our country’s biodiversity, its diverse tourism experiences, and the excellence of Peruvian products through the sector brands Cafés del Perú and Alpaca del Perú. Traditional dance performances captivated more than 15,000 visitors, helping to strengthen the bonds between both nations.
What is Casa Perú?
To introduce visitors at each port to Peru and all it has to offer, the B.A.P. Unión features Casa Perú, the main exhibition platform presenting iconic export products such as blueberries and quinoa, lthe country’s diverse tourist destinations, its rich biodiversity, and renowned cuisine. Additionally, Peruvian coffee, alpaca fiber, and Pisco, the country’s celebrated national spirit, are on display.

Peru’s essence comes to life in Germany
In Bremerhaven, from August 15 to 17, visitors enjoyed tastings of coffee, chocolate, and chicha tea, along with informational modules about our country’s tourist attractions.
Among the distinguished visitors was Claudio Pizarro, the renowned former Peruvian soccer star. Affectionately known as the "Bomber of the Andes," he took part in a special ceremony where traditional dances like the marinera and huaylas, together with Peruvian cuisine and Pisco, were the main attractions.
The B.A.P. Unión’s visit to these two European countries is part of a 178-day international voyage with stops across several destinations abroad. The training ship set sail on May 9 from the Callao Naval Base and will continue carrying Peruvian culture to countries including the Netherlands, Ireland, and Spain.
