Kuelap is awarded at the National Geographic Traveler Reader Awards 2017

• The Kuelap Fortress was awarded the 'Far & Away - Best Overseas Attraction' by the readers of National Geographic Traveler in the United Kingdom.
• The ceremony was held on November 27 in London and the finalists in the category that the Kuelap fortress won were the Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, France, and the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, United States.

National Geographic Traveler Reader Awards 2017 named the best places, experiences, hotels, operators, attractions, media and more, who were preselected by the magazine and voted on by readers.

Kuelap has achieved exceptional relevance in recent years thanks to the promotion of the destination, the increase in air connectivity and, of course, the new cable car with which rapid and direct access to the fortress has been achieved. Kuelap was also named one of the 'Most Cool' destinations by The Wall Street Journal in its latest list of the best destinations to visit in 2018. It has also been the featured on the BBC network, which broadcasted documentaries made in the Amazona region that were seen by millions of people.
