When Machu Picchu was named one of the Seven Wonders of the World, tourists focused on catching direct flights to the sacred city of the Incas, and few foreign visitors were interested in exploring Peru's capital.
However, things have changed for Lima because it has transformed into a cultural and artistic hotspot, not to mention its reputation as the culinary capital of the Americas. You could say it is now on a par with the majestic Inca citadel.

The art scene includes many galleries, designer shops and museums that have opened around the capital. Contemporary art fairs such as ArtLima and Parc are a few noteworthy examples of art in Peru.
Together these cultural expressions are changing the old perception of Lima and giving all of its visitors the chance to have a wonderful experience.
