Marathon Des Sables arrives to Peru

For the first time, the Marathon Des Sables arrives to America and Peru has the unique opportunity to promote itself as the ideal destination for adventure sports and to showcase its culture and diversity to the eyes of the adventurous.

The most intense pedestrian race in the world arrives to Peru this November 26th to December 6th, 2017 and will be held on the magical dunes of Nasca and Paracas, in Ica.

More than 1400 elite competitors from all over the world will compete for 250 kms under extreme conditions to reach the goal, such as high temperatures and carrying all their supplies throughout the race.

This competition has been held every year since 1986 and is considered one of the most intense races in the world and will be covered by 50 international media from United States, Brazil, Mexico and Europe, which will give Peru the opportunity once again to showcase our wondrous locations worldwide.
