The prestigious organization of the World Travel Awards 2023 (WTA) announced the list of nominations for South American edition, which includes Peru in 16 categories. In the 30th edition of the Oscars of Tourism, Peru stands out in the categories of Leading Culinary Destination, Leading Cultural Destination, and Leading Tourist Attraction with Machupicchu.
Meanwhile, the cities of Lima and Cusco are also among the most prominent destinations, specifically in Leading City Break Destination and Leading Cultural Destination, respectively.
According to the World Travel Awards, Peru will have the opportunity to achieve the highest recognition in global travel and tourism by winning the definitive gold standard of the industry. Here is the complete list of nominations for South America in which Peru is considered:

The first step to vote is to go to https://www.worldtravelawards.com/ website and create a personal account.
Once registered, proceed with the E-mail verification.
Once the E-mail is verified, proceed to log in and cast the vote.
The voting will be open and last until midnight on July 9th, 2023. Travel professionals, media, and tourism consumers can vote, and the candidate with the highest number of votes in each category will be announced as the winner of the 2023 World Travel Awards South America.
What are the World Travel Awards?
The World Travel Awards annually award tourist destinations that have marked excellence in the past year and that are considered a global benchmark in the tourism industry.
Peru has already achieved great success in this award. In 2022, it won 2 awards in the South American version: Leading culinary destination and Leading cultural destination. Besides, Machupicchu was recognized as the Leading tourist attraction in the region.
