Located on the north coast of Peru, in La Libertad department, at kilometer 614 of the Panamericana Norte. Its waters are truly cold, with an average temperature between 17.7 - 22.1 °C (64-72 °F). The beach has strong currents and offers waves all year round, although more frequently in winter.

Access by land: 74 km (46 miles) north-east of Trujillo (1 hour 30 minutes by bus). Turn off at km 614 on the Panamericana (Paiján).

Type of Waves: Point-break, considered the longest left wave in the world. Tubular waves, with 4 sections, that reach 2 meters (6 feet) tall with large surf. When the swell is strong, the waves spread right across the bay.
