These liqueurs have the funniest and most original names, and their secret lies in their medicinal properties and aphrodisiac effects. Uvachado
It is one of the most popular liquors in the jungle, especially in the city of Tarapoto and throughout the San Martín region. It is made with the Amazonian burgundy grape -very typical of this area- which is macerated for a couple of months with cane brandy (also called cañazo) and sweetened with honey.
This drink is usually consumed during the festivities as an accompaniment to meals. Because of its high alcohol content and aphrodisiac effects, it is recommended to drink in moderation.

7 Raíces
This is another of the most demanded and well-known liquors in the Peruvian Amazon. It consists of a preparation based on seven different roots and barks that are generally chuchuhuasi, cat's claw, fierro caspi, murare, icoja, sangre de grado and cumaceba. Like Uvachado, these ingredients are macerated with cane brandy and sweetened with honey.
It is very popular for its medicinal properties, especially against flu, and for its high aphrodisiac and energetic value.

Chuchuhuasi
Made from the bark of the same name's tree of the Amazon, this liquor is one of the strongest due to its high alcohol content, so it is always recommended to drink it in small quantities. Among its main properties is the stimulation of blood circulation, which favors the art of lovemaking.
It is also beneficial for rheumatic diseases like arthritis, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, as well as for muscle pains, bronchitis, stomach pain and fever.

Rompe Calzón (RC)
The heat typical of the Peruvian Amazon is enhanced by this aphrodisiac liquor, made from the combination of barks and medicinal plants like chuchuhuasi, cat's claw, fierro caspi, cumaceba, clavo huasca, abuta, sanango, among others. combined with cane brandy. The mixture is left to marinate for a week and the result is a powerful elixir of love.
Many people consume it to increase the libido and improve their sexual performance, although it is also highly required for medicinal purposes.

Levántate Lázaro (LL)
This powerful drink is very famous for turning on the male libido and maintaining it throughout the love night. It consists of a preparation based on barks of sanango, chuchuhuasha, fierro caspi, chicoa, and achuni penis bone, all macerated in cane brandy and honey.
