In this extraordinary multi-sensory exhibition, you will be able to explore up close one of the most impressive collections of gold that have ever traveled the world and learn the secrets of five ancient Peruvian empires that flourished more than 3000 years ago.

Featuring more than 130 fascinating artefacts, from dazzling jewelry to funerary objects from royal tombs, this exhibition is a journey into the heart of Peru's ancient civilizations. Admire one of the most impressive gold collections in the world and immerse yourself in the history and culture of ancient Peru.

Thanks to state-of-the-art projections during the exhibition, visitors will be able to transport themselves to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. In addition, they will witness a curious section featuring erotic ceramic artefacts, which reveal the deep connection of ancient Peruvian societies with the cycles of life and nature.
The exhibition at the Australian Museum is the result of a collaboration between Neon, Museo Larco in Lima and the Ministry of Culture of Peru. Together, they seek to highlight Peru's engineering innovations and cultural heritage.
